Our story

A dealer's habit, kept for two decades

Valoura began in a single room with one rule: sit at the cutting table, buy the parcel whole, and grade it yourself. It made the first years slower than they needed to be, and it is the only reason the house still stands.

How we work

Four things we don't bend on

Bought at the table

We source directly at the Rathnapura mines and buy parcels whole, rather than picking from a broker's forwarded list.

Graded in house

Every stone is colour-graded under daylight-balanced light by the same two people, so a grade from us means the same thing year after year.

Stated plainly

Origin, treatment and weight appear on every invoice line. GIA, Gueblin or GIC reports available on request for stones above one carat.

Trade pricing

One number, no retail theatre and no minimums dressed up as exclusivity. You should be able to build a margin on it.
